Bodegas Aster is located on the far east side of the Ribeira del Duero. It is such a nice winery where they want to innovate by looking year per year what the harvest brings. Depending on the year, they will decide whether if and how they will blend. This results in great premium wines.
A clear medium deep ruby wine with beautiful primary aromas and flavours of black fruits, liquorice, pepper and mint on both nose and mouth. Still developing its full potential, the wine is dry, high in acidity, alcohol, tannins and full-bodied with a long finish. Nice balance, length and complexity, yet it misses some intensity (1-1-1-0,75/1). While it can be consumed now, the wine still has an ageing potential of 3-5 years with hopefully can make it gain some intensity to become a great wine at the end.
